Had my back lock up on me for the first time in my life a few weeks ago. I bent over and couldn't stand back up. Happened 3 times in a day, was scary.

    Welcome to the IHoP

Seriously just feels like tired muscles. I actually feel like I rode 150mi on my bike a day or two ago. Almost a "good" pain, but not when you didn't do anything to earn it. I know that feeling.........Maybe running around with your son? I know a few hrs when I go back to NY with my daughter leaves me WRECKED. J It gets worse overnight though. Time for a Flexeril. They do wonders for loosening teh muscles. That or a hot tub or both.

    Subwoofer for the boat

Really like that sub, should I go sealed or ported? This subs optimal space is .88 cu ft sealed or 1.58 cu ft ported. If you can fit ported it will have alittle more output.

    I want SQ Part II

I honestly don't miss having a tweeter. The full's on axis reach plenty high for music in a car. You can also tune them lower than a tweeter in a two way and achieve the "point source sound" more effortlessly.
  11. These are pictures from a recent hike. The trailhead is in Glenwood Canyon. The hike is 1.2 mi. long and gains alittle over a 1000 ft. As soon as we pulled in the parking lot, a whirly bird landed right in front of us. In the pic below you can see the helicopter directly out from the first shelf in the left cliff. There is a tunnel running thru the mtn to the left. The CDOT was doing some sort of work. Ok back to the hike. This shot is looking down the canyon to the west. I live 20 miles in this direction. The next 3 pics are looking south from the top of the cliff that the lake is on. This is looking straight down the trail you must hike. The trailhead starts in front of the farthest mtn. You must hike up this canyon to reach the top. Here we are at the lake. Its more the size of a pond but is basicly a bowl on top of a couple hundred ft of travertine. Eric is in a few pics for reference of size. The log in the center is like the trademark of the lake and is visable in all pics. The waterfall is to the right in this pic and the walkway is on top of the travertine dam. There is about a 200 ft drop off to the left. The last stretch of trail is strairs carved into the cliff edge. The decent starts across the lake in the last pic. over where all you see are tree tops. Edit: I jumped into this lake when I was 15 with a girl in a white t-shirt. The water is direct snow melt run off.

    I want SQ Part II

Fair enough, I feel you. The benifits to the two way fullranger + midbass set up is you can run alot bigger midbass if thats what you think you need. Also you can mount the fullranger high up in the ride for better stage height. Obviously not the most ideal in therory without full control of things but I think the beinfits would still outweigh the passive setup mounted in the kick. just my opinion for good SQ. The passive in the kicks would definely be easy to set up but will have its own limitations.

Sounds like you already have your mind made up. Why are you wasting our time AGAIN, if you already know what your doing? You obviously don't take anyone's advice, so why should we give it?. This thread looks as if its heading right in the same direction as your last one.

    Subwoofer for the boat

The Alpine you linked to is made for a sealed enclosure with an optimum volume of 4.8 cu ft OR infinite baffle. If you are set on using a marine sub I personally would buy this. http://www.crutchfield.com/s_107MM1240/Polk-Audio-MM1240.html?search=polk+mm1240+ultra&tp=111 I am sure you could find it a little cheaper than Crutchfield.

    Subwoofer for the boat

Because of the open top of the boat you will want as efficent of sub set up as you can fit. Because of the space you probably are limited to a 10 or 12 inch. You don't need a low end monster, you need something geared towards getting loud on low power since you are limited on space and power.

    I want SQ Part II

If you truely want good SQ, like a concert, then I suggest option 3. with the right full ranger and mid bass mounted in the right locations you can't go wrong and will SIMPLIFY things. I do suggest as hondakilla said and buy a HU with the right processing, you can tune WAY easier by ear this way. T/A and EQ are a must and with the right install, equipment and tuning you will be happy.

ALL the big monster tube tv's must die before I would waste a dime on a new tv. Would be a waste of money considering....... Well there is a pretty large sledge hammer in the garage... ..................considering I only watch 6-10 hrs a week tops. I am jamming my "Joe Satriani" station on pandora as we speak.

    Subwoofer for the boat

What space do you have to work with? i.e. how much space for the sub and box? We need to know what will fit and be in the proper enclosure to function properly before we can recommend anything.
