It is dangerous for you to know, better to try them all. I was only curious, as his crossover points were quite low, and especially when he initially said lpf, I was thinking what?! I'm glad that's one thing I have some flexibility on with the ms8, fair amount of slopes to play with. Er' was more suggesting not to be afraid to overlap the lower x-over point of the mid with the sub if needed for blending. I hope my analogy of the song you posted yesterday helped understand the concept.

When firing the M16 during BMT I shot better with both eyes open then closed. Found myself straining to keep my eye closed. Are you blue eyed? Nope brown eyed. I assume you use a scope on the M16?

I hated living in the only apartment I ever lived in. I would rather RV it than live in another apartment. Good luck Julian.

In a car enviroment with the sub crossed low with a shallow slope, the sub will still play higher freq's, they are just attenuated. Get the mids to blend with the sub and you have a win, Win. Even with songs like this your mids are working less to sound natural.

    processors

possible solutions. http://www.woofersetc.com/p-3810-bx35-boss-3-way-electronic-crossover.aspx http://www.woofersetc.com/p-1313-x6-lanzar-3-way-6-ch-electronic-crossover.aspx http://www.woofersetc.com/p-8126-qxr-7-cadence-3-way-electronic-crossover.aspx Personally I like something I can adjust from the drivers seat as thats where I like things to sound the best. I would suggest a HU with built in processor if you can afford it. Good luck.

Yes I am back assward this morning. sorry for the confusion. Sub LPF @50hz 12db slope. Midbasses HPF @25hz 24db slope. I fought the idea forever bc I didn't want to overlap the freq's due to cancellation issues, but found the overlap to create that one sound source instead of three that we all strive for.

    Welcome to the IHoP

Interesting. Definetly easier to blend low freq's than the x-over point between the mids and highs. If I try to raise the midbass LPF it sounds cleaner but really seperates the sub. So for my taste in sound I like the warmer, thicker bottom end in exchange for that little cleaner sound.

    Welcome to the IHoP

I personally HPF my sub @50hz and LPF my midbasses @32hz. Once T/A'ed and phased correctly The blending makes the sub sound like its coming from the midbasses. food for thought.

I hear you, my BTL is only on like half way most of the time. Point being is if the reflections aren't audible then make them less of a deciding factor. I think once you get everything dialed in you will be happy with the sub on at all times. IF you are truely going for true music reproduction you will want sub freq's as well.

I believe they were refering to the nut rivets Stefan. They are a threaded insert, and with the stepped drill bit you are pretty safe as to not puncture anything unforeseen. Pics complements of OneBadMonte. http://www.soundsolu...__1#entry686133

    Welcome to the IHoP

You get reflections Not audible at my ref level. Err, then you are seriously a god of EQ. Of course reflections don't have a "sound" but interfere. Pretty hard to "hear" them at any level, just their effect. I believe he means it sounds good to him and he can't tell. I know, just since Stefan is pounding through configuration after configuration and reading about vertical cues, azimuth response and other acoustic phenomena I don't want him to get too distracted. I have no doubt the Honda sounds stellar. I love the driver locations, aiming, etc. Jealous by a lot in fact as its nearly an ideal setup. I am not saying there isn't refections, just not to an audible degree. Stefan is running an 18" sub in the car so I feel he honestly won't have any problems with minor interference is what I was trying to convey. As far as driver placement I think he is on the right track by testing. Definetly don't forget to try different phasing. Especially if you are seperating the drivers. I would hope you approve of my setup Sean, as you helped me set it up and choose the drivers.

I vacuum seal for the freezer whenever I cut up a prime rib into rib-eye's. They are good to go, no freezer burn. Same as they come to most resturants. After growing up on elk and deer meat that sat in the freezer for years though, I am pretty picky in my older age.
