So you think the song sounds to sterile? Hard to say as it was recorded around the time everything was getting recorded digital instead of analog. Try some older Priest maybe? Deep Purple has some good drum solo's also.

Have you concidered a second battery? Don't waste any money on a cap as it won't help or fix anything.

I'm not the best to respond with a single location On our honeymoon we went to Chile with carry-on only and stayed in 15 different places over 16 nights. Included temperature fluctuations from 98F to 20F. Vacationing to me is a bit different. That being said I'd probably pick La Paz if I had to, but that is because I love the sounds of runnign water, but there are better beach locations for sure. When the W went they backbacked the whole time. I believe they slept in B&B's or in hammocks on the beach. She has tons of waterfall pictures. I am not opposed to this idea as the W and I have logged alot of miles backpacking anyways. Its all on me to decide the location though, the W will not help. I assume you have been to St. Johns? Please give feedback. I know your standards as a person and the fact you travel alot for your job so give it to me.

You think the painkiller song is hollow in the midbass range? Typically I have pretty good luck with clean midbass freq's without so much sub bass from most any Judist Priest song. I don't have any experience with those tweeters so i can't comment on that. I imagine there is probly a few cheaper options also but don't have any suggestions. Good luck Brother.

Where did you stay? What were your favorite places to explore?

Grand Cayman, British Virgin Islands, and Anguilla are some very nice places. I know they are not on your list. Neal, Why the British Virgins oppossed to the US Virgins? St. Johns looks appealling for exploring is why I ask. (no passport needed also) Sean, Where in Costa Rica would you suggest for exploring? My W has been there as a teen with her family so I am sure she will have opinions on this one also.

I don't miss tweeters at all in the current setup. The full rangers definetly give a wider range of x-over points and slopes to blend with on the bottom, which really helped get the soundstage up high. Get them on axis and as far from reflective surfaces as you can and all should be golden. I have two more channels on the RF 4ch amp I am running the full rangers on that I was saving for tweets, but at this point will be bridging the amp and get more power to the full rangers. I love headroom!!

Make sure you check out the hummer in the Philadelphia auto show thread. Those mids might be a little larger than yous. Holy speakers Batman!! Those look like 15"s, but also look like pro audio drivers. You think the guy had enough bullet tweeters?
