All this midbass talk is making me want to find some pro audio 12"s to play with. Just need to find one that will work in my alignment. Mounting Depth being the other factor. My search keeps taking me to the Faitalpro's as they have so many models. Just need to do some modeling and math. http://www.parts-express.com/faitalpro-12pr310-12-professional-woofer-4-ohm--294-1243 I love that live or high output home audio sound. Love the Aura's, but think I am ready to continue my quest for that home audio sound.

Daughter officially killed her first subwoofer. I am suspect of the Epicenter as the cause as was throwing a nasty signal when hooked to the BTL in the Honda. The problem is the way I had to get the signal from the factory system.

Brother in law bought a new toy! http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-MX-FS9000-Bluetooth-ComponentAudio-System/dp/B00CWH5QDA I am pretty impressed with the clarity. We jammed everything from Pink Floyd to Slayer. The Bluetooth feature is cool although the HDMI connection was cleaner. The purdy lights are neat too. lol

Thinking of going active, suggestions?

Is it possible to get replacement mids for your Hertz? Possibly not a bad idea as you wouldn't need to change anything else going that route. -
Now I know what to get you for Xmas.

I can't wait to see my Mustang in the Chevy service department. lol

Sounds like a good technique in theory. I wonder if my buddy's that run the service and parts departments at the local Chevrolet dealership are switching to that system.

Preach it brother! However, that does help disclose that we are fucking old. Hey, you called me old! I love the Countach. Hard to believe they were first produced in 1974 and lasted until 1990. The Countach was waaay before its time.

HOLY FAWK!!!

I am pretty sure that would classify as a spinner.

I am sure the price is more than fair as that's a steal if it were here. At that rate of inquiry's you should be moving in in time!

Did you check Silestone? Yes $65-$89 a square foot. Damn you Aaron! Took the wife over and guess what she picked out! I think you called her and told you. Silestone Coffee Brown 24 sq ft $1800.96 and $310.00 to cut the sink hole. Silestone is nice. Zero maintenance required. Most natural stones have to be sealed annually and can/will stain. Not Silestone, however. Keep your sink cut out. It makes for a nice portable work station. My granite is fantastic. But definitely keep the cut outs. I have one for my sink and one for the range. I ask the question Why am I being charged for the cut out material? Then told them since I have to pay for it, then I want it. Any Travertine is going to be expensive as it must be quarried. The shops I have been in had an overhead CNC water jet for cutting duty. The Corian on the other hand MUST be routered.

I love the Diablo equally but they didn't even exist yet. I would take the Adventador over either choice now.
-
There's a black Lamborghini Aventador I see cruising around. I would take one of them in a heartbeat. The Countach was my dream car growing up.

The old Eagle talons with AWD were fun too back in the day.

Clean, crisp sound is 90% install and 10% equipment. The best equipment in the world is going to sound like shit if installed poorly or in poor locations. I third getting a set of comps and mounting the tweeters up high. Play with the tweeter aiming to see what gives you the sound you want before the final mounting.

It is from the magic SPL dust released from the rain. -
