That awesome Neal! Ivy is doing volleyball. She has been in the newspaper after every game so far. Either leading in kills or second. She was leading this week with 10 kills.
-
Is she going to the same school as you did? No, read above. You might like it. Thats killer Neal. Ivy has been doing the spirit week also. Homecoming was last weekend here.

Already have an edelbrock air gap dual plan manifold to install. What carb to bolt on top of that 289?

Hopefully be driving the mustang soon. Get a few spins in before winter. Lowered the motor 1/2" and stoutened up the front towers with the Ron Morris mounts. Installed the front crossmember that ties the lower control arms together. Made a huge difference. A few more parts and she will be ready for an alignment. The question at the minute is what carb to buy. Theres a wore out edelbrok 600 on the stock manifold currently. The cam that's installed has a hefty lobe and a 2500 stall torque converter. Pretty much no manifold vacuum pressure to speak of. Thinking a Holley 600 or 650. A 600 would probably be best for where I want the powerband. The guy in me says bigger is better though.

Turbos and onions! That thing got angry.

Meh damn empty nest comment got me off track. I think we where talking about a vacation without them anyways Matt. So your solid there.

Exactly. That's my point. I can guess you had super strict parents. Yes, but why do you guess?I can think of a list of reasons. The point was you can relate with intolerance and the lack of empathy. The ridged "absolute" way of thinking that an older parent will impose on their child. Not to say there is anything wrong with it. Everything is relative. A good balance is all you can really strive for.

My brother has a 6mo old and is 45. In laws have a 4yr old and are mid/later 50's. Theres a story to that one though. Raising a grand kid?

Seriously though, I take my daughters caveing, hike 14er's, to concerts, etc. Plus can relate with today's world. I just don't think by the time your in your late 50's with a teen that you really, honestly remember what the glory years are like. More importantly can contribute to making the glory years better, EVEN IF the culture changed from when you were young. To many generation gaps and I just don't feel you can relate as culture changes rather quickly.

I started early with kids so I could be young enough to relate with them. Always felt sorry for kids with too many generation gaps from their parents. I should be empty nesting it by 41!!!

Redwing's or Lineman's would be my vote for steel toe.
