lol ok .. you make me laugh.... the first one is not a donk... the second one is... and besides dood.. are you a TERM COP? and i can get big wheels, i have had a hard time making my mind up on what i WISH TO DO WITH MY CAR. and that dodge is bagged. when its in ride mode its much taller... and stiffer then a normal spring and shock sus. im sure you know that. Yea, and I also know the proper use of the word donk. I am just saying if your gonna jack your chit up and call it a donk and go around people with real donks they are gonna laugh when you call that ford motor corp car a donk. Neither of those cars are donk's. I was showing you what big rims should look like when done right. And its sad cuz you have the means of making a good looking lincoln with bags slammed on some big boy shoes, but your gonna ditch it, and lift it on some semi big wheels with truck tires. Term cop? I just know the proper use of a term. You wouldn't call your Lincoln a Caddy, so why call it a donk? I have a 95 SS and if I jacked it up and called it a donk i'd be wrong. Just like when people in TX call any car with some BS 1500 dollar wheels and wal mart side vents a slab.... Say what you want, but if it doesn't have 3's or 4's grill and woman, belts and buckles, I am not buying it. The term can mean what ever you want it to but it will get you laughed at. That being said I think your cars hot as chit. Just trying to help a brother out. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donk_%28automobile%29 They call it a DONK cuz its the ass end of the car that looks like a big ol donkey ass.

If you must ride big rims, this is how you do it.
-
And don't lift a town car. Unless you can afford some 3 piece 24's on some p zero skinnies, then that would be pretty gay. Just being honest. Tucking big rims > riding on big ass wheels that look like they belong on a SUV. What is wrong these days, lifting car's = wtf?
-
A donk is a 70's caprice, not just a car thats lifted with big wheels. There are lower rider "donks" Just cause you have a lift and 24's doesn't make it a donk. And these gay ass box chevy's running around with lifts on 24's and 22's on truck tires calling each other donks is wrong. People misuse the hell out of the term. Like calling black on black because its got black paint and black wheels. Black on black is black paint and leather. ahhh. It's like kleenex

when did the q get a 3rd slug option?
-
The Havoc and Q have different specs do they not? They have different motors do they not? I doubt thats true man. That is Fully loaded Fi version of their subs available to dealers. I'm sure you'll all find out the truth soon enough. Otherwise everyone lied to everyone. Dude I was just their and heard it from the whole crew. Youi can't make this stuff up. Are you sure that they didn't mean they are similar in performance and not in exact actual design. I specifically asked againn and again. The mayhem is a BTL full loaded with triple mag and daily option. Not similar. It's a dealers way of selling a BTL to a customer. The SSD is a Chaos and an incredible speaker that people pass by for some reason. More people shoud own the SSD's, Q's and their AA equivalents. I am talking about the havoc/q statement specifically I know nothing of the other series....

From him hinting that the fully loaded Q has the same specs as Havoc as in the post above is what lead me to post what I did. I understand that they may be very similar in performance and sound. As far as the fully loaded Q being a Havoc, I think that is absurd.

Thats why I love my AVA, I can crank it and it doesn't "bang" like my or my friends DD's, or W7's. My Ava just doesn't do it. I hope the havocs are comparable. =)
-
how much louder was the btl than the havoc off that power? I want 2 havocs on a 40.1 but I think it might be too much for them...
-
I don't want more top end, I want more top end than my ava, which has no at all, it rolls off very early.

How do Havocs do sealed? I know they have plenty of displacement but I am ignorant when it comes to specs and was just wondering how they perform sealed, were they designed with sealed in mind, or ported. Or maybe its both like the Q. The woofers look great, btw. I was wondering if it would be worth trying 3 12's sealed in my rear deck off a sundown 3000d. or Would I be better off with 2 ported on the 3000d. I have a ava in my truck in 4 cubes or so (can't remember) tuned to 28hz, and it gets stupid low and loud, but the top end is really lacking, I don't wanna have this problem in my baby (95 Impala SS)....

adding a litte SQ sound to my BL madness
B_Campbell replied to jonbearsmt's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
ditch the rear fill, do a nice set of 8's in the doors and some big boy tweeters or horns. Woot Woot! -
Can't get enough of the cone on the Havocs, secksi sheit.. So is the Chaos along the lines of the Q? And is the Mayhem an LSQ oriented design or SPL?

Do you think $200 shipped for Fi Q 12" 1ohmDVC is reasonable? id buy one for that price.

Mine is for sure rubbing now, stopped last night and started again today... I free aired it and it went away, I don't know what the fudge is going on. Can this be fixed without a recone? Sorry for the noob questions, I have never had this issue before.. hmmm to me it sounds like a loose VC, if it is rubbing only at certain times i doubt its a bent former. also could be that the motor is misalligned but i highly doubt that. really hard to say since i can't see it in person but thats what i guess would be wrong. wouldn't a loose vc always rub? I played it hard today and there was nothing, maybe theres something in the gap?

Sorry for the noob questions, I have never had this issue before.. Whats "free aired it" mean? just removed from its enclosure? Mine hasnt been in an enclosure yet (since it's been in my posession) and just driven with test tones to test. took it out of the enclosure and played it with some tones and music and the rub went away idk what is going on with it man.

http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...showtopic=14547 It was right under ya thread! haha, Ice Tee Bone hacked the site and banned everyone.

I am having the same issue, coils read 1.5, no rubbing, same noise, and only sometimes... I think its a loose coil. Took the sub out and free aired it, I think my speaker wire was too long from the coil to coil, so I trimed it so it would fit around the basket tighter, and the sound went away. Imagine that, me = teh newb.
