are those passives in the doors a "before" pic ? - personally i hate seeing those & wud rather hide them in the kicks or if there is space then behind the door upholstery looking forward to seeing how the amp\batts rack turn out
-
it may be a lousy box or like u said expecting too much from a 12" to fill a hummer i have done single 12" type R that can get almost unbearably loud with around 750wrms on it but those were in regular size sedans so the added cone area of multiple subs will help if ur willing give up space u can do 4 12" RE RE series which go about $65 shipped each on ebay

A for effort but there has got to be a way to neaten that up a bit ...

good move : congrats -
:trippy: that is the most amount of 10s i have ever seen in a single vehicle - gonna be some SICK BASS !!!! :fing34:
-
very nice but put some grills b4 someone accidentally kick it
-
nice job man but i must say all those little holes u made in the front doors (im guessing to probably have access to those moving parts inside) will lessen the midbass effect a little bit since those holes are like air leaks because the concept is to get ur door to be like a enclosure otherwise its coming along nicely
-
congrats on the 150 level though u shud meter it with the mic placed on the windscreen , close the doors shut & windows up just to see what it does 150 is somewhat easy to do with a pure spl box but doing it with a musically playing box is another story

martinique as in the caribbean ? in the 3rd pic is that 1 of those big hats rastafarians wear ? - no offense intended boxes came out good & i bet those Xcons slam ! :fing34:

im a 1st time reader of this thread i must say that from the title i thought it wud be like a 20 something yr old dude doing a audio set with his old man helping him but im pleasantly surprised to see a not that old dad doing all this amt of hard work with some help from his son - :fing34: this is very different from what u usually see in forums good going thus far & i will keep logging on to see how its coming along :drink40:
-
nice start 2 18s SX will sound great for just 2k of power
-
coming along nicely guessing from the pics that the width of the port when completed will be about 12" so u can easily go inside there if need be is there going to be a brace to be added behind the baffle between where the subs will be mounted so as to beef up that area some more ?
