So I found the Warden on the ssa store for about a grand and was wondering if they are good subs on music Im getting bored with my btl and decided I wanna put in the 21'' just wanted to know if any people used these just for a daily driver.

Thanks guys I'll post the box up when finished Hope you like it..

I have 2 btl 18s, 220 amp alt, kicker 1/0 wire 2 aq 3500's (should be here monday). I am currently building my box and have NEVER ran with this much power before so I wanted to make my box a little smaller than my old one I am looking at about 11 cubes net tuned to 36 hz 152 square inch port. I just would like some input if I should go bigger or smaller on the box please input asap...oh ya by the way the subs are dual 2 ohm fully loaded ( I have pics of my equip if anyone needs proof lol)

Damn I would have figured with that much power I would want a little more sub control via smaller box; however I could be completely wrong I dont have room for a 16 cube box net but I can maybe get 7 cubes per sub. Thanks for the advice

Sorry im a little late to post on this. 4600 watts is A LOT of power you have to have a very clean signal. As far as 8 cubes goes 8 cubes + 4600 watts = Death of sub... 5.5 cubes would work with that many watts for short periods of time (in my opinion) I assume you'll get the upgrades done to your electrical so no need in going into detail on that.

Agreed the btl is a bad mo fo. I bought 2 18s for my infiniti a few months ago and they only seem to get louder by the day. I am ugrading my amps cuz these monsters thrive on it.

Its fine it gives me more time to do more upgrades to the car before putting a wall in. I'll start a build log as soon as my school starts thanks giving break so keep an eye out for it.

I havent been on this forum in months so I did a lil update I am currently running 2 btls on 2 audioque 2200's. The subs are D/2 fully loaded. I have a 220 iraggi alt. The big 3, 4 kinetik 2400 batts and 1 yellow top under the hood. Here is a couple pics of the equip stripped from the car getting ready to upgrade. Now the question I was going to run the subs just 1 sundown 3500 wired to .5 ohms (just til I get the money to buy a second amp). But I read in another thread that it is hard on the subs. I didnt know that i thought it was only hard on the amps if your electrical couldnt back it up.
-
Well thank you everyone for your input. I am just going to hold off on the build til I get both amps just to play it safe. Thanks again.

Ha Ha I was waiting on you to join in and say that lol. Nice timing.

This...Most people I know run the Sundowns at .5 daily. But they DO have the electrical to back it, that's the big thing to consider. But it looks like you do, so watch your gains and go for it. Also you may want to look into getting an indash volt meter to keep an eye on your voltage. Yup I have a stinger in dash volt meter. I have the the electrical to easily back the aq 2200's but the only reason I started this topic is due to the fact I was reading this thread

What is the fastest you have gone

157 in my g35. -
Nope sold the aq's to my brother, ( now regreting it).

oh hell ya I have seen your car around the site I noticed your box is only 15.9 cubes so around 8 cubs for a single does pretty good? I'll tune to about the same Would you recommend going any bigger with the box like maybe around 10 cube using a sundown 3000.

So what are the recommended enclosure sizes for the 21'' Wardens???
-
Okay sorry for the lack of info kinda new to posting well this is what I currently have. 1 RF 2500 amp all 0/1 kicker wiring 190 amp alternator (not currently using will instal after finish putting in my turbo this weekend) 2 kinetik hc1400 batteries and 1 optima yellow top under the hood Stock Bose component speakers and deck (using an mtx-req) More specific on the goals I am considering entering a competition in october running in the 0-1000 watt modified class so im not aiming for sound quality. Even though i already have a rockford amp I most likely will buy a dd M4. A few friends of mine told to run dd 9500 15s however I want to try running with fi btls. I can build a wall which will contain a total volume of 18.4 cu ft, after measuring in 3/4 for the wood and 200 sq in port and 2 18'' subs the total after all displacement is 13.95 cu ft hope this is enough details thanks for all the help...

I need some advice on whether to go with 2 btl 15s or 2 btl 18s. I have about 16 cubic ft of space to put a box in my car. I will post pics of the car asap. I am just looking a system that hits hard hopefully around 148 to 150 dbs.

I drive an 06 infiniti g35 coupe and I want to attempt my first wall with 2 fi btl 18's. The deminsions to work with are approx. 44 L, 25 H, 26 D. I dont have any experience with buliding walls so I wanted some opinions on if that would be enough space for the subs and I have to build it inside the car so is glue and fiberglass resin strong enough to hold it together?. I usually see walls that are 14 cu feet after sub and port displacement, mine will maybe come out 12.
