not really, just didn't try it before. I only gained .6 db from the ports, i'm convinced the subs are just too close to the ceiling, hendering unloading. We are ripping all of it out and building something new behind the seat. Time to get my back seat back!

Our drawing is a single baffle, so there is really no need for a flush mount unless you really like the look of it, or feel you need the added strength it will add. For DCON's though, you should be just fine with a single baffle. So to clarify, the sub would mount on top of the baffle, as opposed to looking flushed.

They are simular subs, the VVX is the new kid on the block, but Jacob designed it, so it's can't be bad . Either one would be a good choice. I do know the VVX are in stock and ready to ship.
