Just ordered some carpet for this build today to get things semi-finished up, and shot a cool little video in 1080p showing off the ZCON in a very low note environment Stay tuned for that one..

Ernie's 2 12" Demo Car Build | New PICS p4
Mark LaFountain replied to Mark LaFountain's topic in Team SSA
Looking good buddy. Can't wait to see the results.. -
very cool footage of Steve's camaro. Serious machine right there. Texas has it going on for bass from what I hear...

It didn't meter that day, as I got it playing 20 minutes before the show. The batteries have been sitting on the shelf for 8 months with no charge, and they desperately need a charge. I also need to re-install my alternator also, running stock at the moment. All in all, I am just happy to have the hard part of this build over and done with. I really wanted to run the dual 15" zcon's but didn't have enough man power to life a loaded enclosure into the truck. I'm sure i'll have a video with scores after I find some time to play around with it...

Congrats on the scores, looks like you had a great day. I am assuming you won your classes? -
this truck is painful to sit in, 157 to the dome hurts

great when you achieve a goal isn't it?! Great job.

Yes, I am really happy with the design of this. The whole idea was to have a ton of power on tap under the floor when I need it, and the abilty to have an empty truck above floor (simply by taking the box out). I couldn't have expected a better, stronger sub structure then what I received. Now, we essentially have a rolling test labratory Very happy with the outcome.

I can see what I can do for you a little later on. How does free air on 1k sound? -
At the end of the 36 hour welding spree, I had forgotten to bring my jig saw for the hole in the floor, so I used a circular saw a free handed the router, thats why the board floor looks like hell. I plan on reduing the floor board along with some plexi/lexan and some carpet, stay tuned for that.

SSA Sub(s) having issue on lower notes, poor kay?
Mark LaFountain replied to Sencheezy's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
All SSA drivers are shown power before leaving the build house to assure proper mechanical alignment and functional ablity. Just because we do not see it in person, doesn't not mean it doesn't not happen, I have personally seen these procedure done hundreds of times on our products coming off the line and have full trust in our build house's ability. That being said, some times things do happen and no one is perfect, please email us with your concerns and we can work it out and take care of you best through that channel. Thanks. -

Thought you guys would appreciate photos from the good camera. I had left it at the wood shop. All is right in the world now. GCONs look very beefy in person. -
