1 pointI would do a single Xcon in a 4th order ported through the decklid with 1.5-2k. My experience with Xcons was they love power and reproduce music clearly and lows in my particular app were authorative and pronounced.

1 pointHonestly doesn't seem as loud when your tanked. Have to agree with that. I did some drunk work on my car tonight, thankfully it isn't playing yet.

1 pointWhat does your battery rest at? If the alt(a) has a high load it will warm up quick. Alt whine through your speakers could be a ground loop, uncommon with newer equipment but possible.

1 pointAlright, trying to help out here because I have a 2004 Impala.. As far as stupid loud bass goes, best option to start out would be two 12's.. Easy to make an efficient enclosure for and I would check out the SSA line in terms of subs. Two 12" Xcons would do some work in that car for sure. Ill add you as a friend, lots easier to talk that way.
