Oh how many times have I been asked that question. I wouldn't still have to be working if I had a $1 for each time I have read "all batteries are the same" on the forums. In the past I have been able to tell you the differences, and post up info on the differences......................... but now...................... I get to post up video and show some informative videos that will help you make your decisions on which batteries to purchase. I hope that these videos will allow you to make a more informed decision when you make your next purchase. Lets face it XS Power batteries are expensive and there are a lot of companies out there that are cheaper and claim to provide great performance. People ask all the time why XS Power costs so much more than some of the other batteries, and I look forward to the opportunity to show what the differences are and where costs can be cut to make a battery that appears to be the same. So, make sure to check out our YouTube channel and stay tuned for some very interesting, informative, and funny videos coming up in the near future!!! XS Power YouTube

Believe it or not, the flames actually ad dBs. Somehow how they are positioned, helps displace more air, thus more output.

here's a panel after a little scuffing to remove the layer of surface waxx off the resin. As you can see the mat is all one piece. Never use multiple smaller pieces unless you absolutely have to.

4 JLw7 12's will break the banks for you, and they are a good driver i used to have one, but if your going like you said for big and loud, I say FI, FI has great SQ if the box is tuned right, and will hit nasty lows, besides the Q line is geared more toward SQ. JL w7's will hit the lows but not as loudly, but speaking your box is not tuned to either sub, your not really gonna know what kind of sound quality your gonna get untill you install it, and ya any audio shop is gonna press you to buy there product, dont they all at our local shop its all hail the super SOLOBARIC (plastic shit)

All I gotta say is HOLY CRAP! What a set! These got here Tuesday and thanks to work I've not been able to get my hands on them until this morning and I must say I'm quite impressed. First, by the weight, they're heavy and at 23lbs shipping weight according to the UPS label they're heavier than an SA-8. Second was the size, the box is the biggest I've ever seen for a component set as you'll see in the pictures. Speaking of which, here they are: If you notice the two white boxes in the upper left of the picture, those are color laser printer toner cartridge boxes. Kinda gives you some perspective on the size of the box. Here you see them in the box, notice the plastic wrap is a little torn. Another reason I love the guys here at SSA, Aaron told me about the slightly torn plastic before he shipped them out. Who else does that? Not many I would imagine, Aaron, you're the best! It's hard to really grasp the size of the box, until you give it something show just how big it is. As you can see next to the box for the CS60K's it's quite large. They sure are a beautiful set. The tweeter and midrange both have very nicely machined aluminum rings around them. The crossover weighs as much as the midrange and tweeter combined. It's built very well IMHO. The midbass is quite a work of art. I doubt the picture can show it very well but the tinsel leads are sewn down to the spider with a soft sleeve on them to help prevent noise in the event they contact the cone. The machined aluminum frame is very nice and clean as well. These are without a doubt the nicest components I've ever owned and I'm REALLY itchin' to get them installed. The build quality is very nice, and the fit and finish is just about as good as it gets. Due to the design of the midrange and tweeter the mounting options will be limited to flush mounting which could be a problem for some, however if you're looking at a set in this price range chances are your installation skills can handle it anyway. At any rate, I just wanted to share with you all just how nice the set is, hopefully I'll be able to give my thoughts on just how good they sound here asap.

I use cheap superglue to attach the cloth. Works perfect and seems to get a decent bond to fiberglass.

^this and spray adhesive like used for attaching carpet to an enclosure ( is that CA glue)

A lot of people use CA glue, or just hot glue instead of staples.

Who told you this ?? Not saying they do, but for some reason something clicked in the depths of my mind that i've heard that somewhere. OP, for the most part, any sub can sound good as long as the box is well built. sorry bro, I wasn't saying you were wrong. Was just wondering the reasoning behind it ... The reason being that increasing cone area decreases the necessary excursion to reach a given output level. Minimizing excursion keeps the drivers operating further within their linear range, decreasing distortion and other side effects of non-linearity.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT PM pricing on here, I don't care if you know Kevin or not, team or not. Do not do that, EVER!!!! The SSA store pays for the majority of the SSA forum expenses, and to use it to under cut the SSA store that pays to keep the site on line, is beyond not appropriate. This is your ONLY warning, IP/Permabann will follow. Not kidding at all. We had a serious issue with this in the past with other brands. It will not be tolerated, period!

    1. Just wire them together by removing the metal ring and stripping the insulation. 2. You don't need that wire. 3. The blue w/ stripe is for your amps. Only reason car would need it is to turn on stock amps. 4. Then you don't need it.

id get all the options besides the SPL option, i could not open the link of the web page you opened, since its sealed, just make sure the air space matches the requirements of the driver. also i would definitely look into a bigger amp. Its the FI Q is rated for 1000RMS, maybe an AQ1200 they are 250$ and you wont have to run the amp maxed out to get the desired output of your sub.

A few friends and I just built a center console box a few days ago. Still gonna carpet it and build an amp rack, but this is what it looks like. I was very suprised of loud this thing gets. Box is 2.1ft^3 @ 33Hz on AQ1200

No reason to blow up on anyone. Either you have something wrong, or the amp is bad. Either way, find out the issue and contact AQ if something really is wrong. Now if they tell you to screw off then you have something to blow up about. Things fail, it happens. No matter how good the amp is there are bound to be a few duds for whatever reason.

hope i have some warranty left, they may need to replace my clutch or gear box. i am thinking of doping a FI BTL N2 in there for spl days, instead of my SQ daily build.

(Ported obviously) Enclosure tuned at 32hz be great, you will love your BTL, it will shake the crap out your car. Buy some sound deadener to deaden your trunk. I hear this stuff is great, the price is right too. It wasn't out of stock the other day but now is since it was onsale.25 sq. feet for $59.84 shipped, should be in stock in 2 weeks. http://audiotechnix.com/
