Well I once again thought an update was in order.

A few interesting developments.

Recently won an amplifier naming contest for **Zed Audio**.

I named the new 6 channel amplifier 'LEVIATHAN'

This contest awards me $100USD towards a Zed Audio Amplifier, and another 'free amplifier of Stephen's choice (from other manufacturing at the Zed Audio factory). I don't know what the free amp will be, but I trust Stephen will make it intersting.

The $100 credit towards a 'Zed Audio Amp' Will go towards my purchase of the Leviathan when they are built. The Leviathan is still in the design stage now.

Recently I got a great deal on an **OmniFi System** that comes with the car and home units aswell as the wireless antenna. Should be a lot of fun playing with that.

This should be an easy way to add a lot of functionality to either an RFX-8240 or RFX-8250 using the auxillary RCA inputs.

- MVC hanging onto it in case I go digtal and need a volume control.

- USA-150 May sell it, really have no plans for it.

- TRu 4.65 w/bb Saving that one for a front stage fo sure (or at least comparison testing.. I wanna hear it)

- Nak PA-2004(s) I think I'm going to use 1 of them in my work van (hopefully this month) along with a set of compnonets (haven't chosen yet maybe the ID Chameleons) and the single 10" Cadence beast.

:P

2 recent arrivals :

Stryke Audio MTM kit (raw drivers and crossover parts and unfinnished cabinets). It's all very pretty. There's a project I'll never have time for .. haha. I won an eBay auction for a case of 8 Stryke Audio mids ($46USD), and was told after a month of waiting that they had run out and no longer had 8 new ones. I renegotiated for an MTM kit and covered some additional shipping as the cabinets alone cost $40 to ship to me.

Also picked up another Alpine EQ ERE-G180 with BBE processing.

Got a good price for it so why not. I could ebay it and make an easy $25 if I end up not using it.

All the Soundstream amps are in a good home now, I'll miss them, they were beautiful.

Plans to actually install into my work van in the next month or so (almost for certain).

Van install:

Either old Quarts or Aura MRs or ID Chameleons for the speakers.

Single Cadence Beast sub in a sealed cabinat between the seats.

All run from a Nakamichi 4x100w PA2004 amp.

Omnifi 20G wireless jukebox hooked into the aux ports of an undetermined HU (I don't think i want to use the RFX-8250s in the work van.)

Might get a Sony specialty HU

I don't have a lot of love for Sony HUs myself.

Have you had any experiance with the particular unit I'm looking at?

Seems to be a different animal then we've seen from Sony recently.

I haven't made the purchase yet, but need something suitable with an aux input for the Omnifi. The Sony seems like a pretty good value for the specs/feature set.

i've installed that h/u in three vehicles and i know of another person that wants one. i agree with u, it's definitely one of the best looking h/u's avaiable IMO.

to date, no issues from any of them. one car got just the h/u and it's powering the factory speakers..sounds pretty darn good.

the other two both have complete systems (speakers, subs) and again, no issues yet. one is a jeep cherokee sport with two 10" L7's and a memphis 500d and the other is a dodge standard cab ram p/u with a pair of 10" meemphis m3's and a 1000d. both get pretty darn loud and neither has had a skipping issue or anything yet..

for that money, it'll be hard to beat..

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :slayer:

Allright...

So I purchased the Sony unit and am looking at an alarm system for the work van before I put it in.

I should have gotten alarm in before anyhow.

I just got a package today containing an Audio Control Overdrive, and an Adcom GFI-4600. mmmmmm The Overdrive unit was part of the package so why not.

Another few boxes should be on the way shortly with 2 NIB Adcom GFA-4302s (then I'll have 5 of those) and a GFI-4400.

Looks like I need a new Cell phone too.. I left mine sitting on the roof of my car. :hay:

I found it later on, but it had been run over and no longer worked.

SOOOooo...what ARE you willing to part with?

NG

I'm a greedy b!tch .. you all get nothing... :P

Actually if anything interests you let me know (PM or email).

I think some definate keepers are the TRu amps, my Denon DCA-3500 and all the Adcom stuff, although that might change.

Definately not a motivated seller, so don't come to me expecting great deals. I'm a fair minded person with some nice taste.

I get a good deal of enjoyment just looking at the nice electronics I've collected and imagining using it all one day (that's never gonna happen with some of it unfortunately).

I think overall I find a bargain now and then, but I have over paid for a few items aswell.

The workvan install should be underway soon .. still working on the alarm, and the local installers all seem to be lame ducks in that area.
