My first SUV gets a sound system.

Recommended Posts

My installer is telling me to buy the processor. He showed me how his Alpine 701 works. Wow, the results are amazing.

Now he's working on Time Alignement (not sure about the spelling) : I can't believe how it can change the sound in the car ! It's incredible. I need to work pn that too.

I hope everything will be ok before the end of the year.  :)  :)

Thanks Aaron !

Your sub is insane ! It makes people talk a lot ! Maybe they'll want some SSA products in the near future :)  :)

I'm starting to worry for my car : I can feel how the car reacts on every bass frequency, but I only have little trunk ratling. I'll fix those rattles when I have time.

This battery won't go nowhere. It's so tightly set in this piece of wood.

Next step : a wood box well secured to the floor.

Still had some wood and some carpet left, so...

Box won't move !

Is that a agm battery?

Yes it is.

It's a Group 31 battery. One of the cheapest I could find. They use it a lot, locally, for the boats.

The Optimas were so expensive, I did not want to get one.

There were no XS available at the time I was ready to buy a battery. Now I can find a few, but they are so expensive, it's not an option for me.

So far, I have no problem with this one. ;-)  ;-)

I just questioned it because it looked like it had plugs you could pull out to check the acid level.

I checked again ! No vents I can take off to check any level !

They are dry cell batteries...I don't know much about them. Vision EV31 is the name. Chinese batts.

They have a website but I don't know how to really compare batteries.

The btl was a 12" sub in a small Toyota.

The zcon is a 15" sub in a much bigger car.

I can't really compare them. Both sound good enough to me !

I sold the btl to my installer, only because he couldn't find a second 15" btl for his car. I loved this sub.

I'm very happy with the zcon.

Thanks guys !

I'm so happy they look nice on the car. It's not easy to order rims on the internet : you have to guess how they will look.
