InterestingAll the SPL measurements are taken from the inside of the car with the SPL sensor positioned on the drivers or passengers headrests. The SPL Sensor is always facing towards the front windscreen. This way you get a good idea of the SPL levels that your ears are subjected too as well.A series of tests are carried out to see how well the system performs at playing certain low bass frequencies as loud as possible.

It's official. Charlie talks in his sleep. Sounded like he was saying, "I am Charlie" and mumbling some other stuff. I asked him a question and it sounded like he answered it. I also told him I love him and he responded to it saying he loved me too.

Fact:If you use a volt meter to measure across a heavily corroded 12 volt or ground connection it may read good voltage but it may not have the ability handle a load.

I want somebody to try this. Get 1 balloon, a decent sized one, and fill it up. Put it inside your vehicle. Turn up your volumeSupposedly 154db will burst a child's balloon. To heck with hair tricks.

chicken and rice casserole is out of the question. Somehow my 9x13 glass baking dish grew legs and walked away.

I just took a picture but my camera can't pick it up. There are burnt wires inside the alternator. Part of the stator. These wires go out the back of the alternator into the plastic case on the back. They are twisted, corroded, and black. One looks like it's not even connected to anything.99.75% sure I have found the problem.

How to extend and kick up the flavor of Hamburger Helper Cheeseburger Macaroni?Follow directions on the box, but add 1 more cup of noodles, 1 can of petite diced tomatoes (drained), and 1 can of corn (drained). You can also (optional) add enough Cajun spice to suit you. That's what was for dinner tonight

I am 99% positive I know what the problem is now. I just put my voltage meter and amp clamp on the van. I then started the van, turned on stereo, headlights, and blower.Stayed around 14.2-14.5 volts, however, it showed 3.8 amps. When Brandy went out to rev the engine a little bit it went up to around 5 amps. So, from what I can gather, the alternator is outputting the proper voltage but no where near the amps it's supposed to and is causing the problems with the transmission.

Junkyard price for an AD244 alternator $24.50 $10.00corePlus I'll possibly need a serpentine belt aprox 1" longer than my current one.I'll also need to grab some copper pipe to do the big 3 upgrade with 4gauge wiring (until I can get it done with 1/0 or re-use my 4/0)This is the cheapest possible way to fix the problem.... maybe. I am actually at a total loss at what could be happening and with the hack job that was done to the van by the p.o., only God knows if it'll be fixed or not....

The 4l60e uses electric shift solenoids. Improper voltage to the solenoids can cause erratic operation. Look for ground issues etc, or a failing alternator

There is something still making the tranny act up. Limp mode all the way to interview, just to find out it's canceled for me

O.k. went all the way out to 3rd Street (Jax Beach) to see about a job. Van ran great there and back. I even turned the stereo on for half the trip back. There is a loose ground somewhere that I need to find. At least I think it's a loose ground. The voltage meter sits right below the 14mark mark, but every now and then it will jump up above the 14volt mark. When it does this, the gas needle also seems to be more accurate.I'm thinking the Big 3 will take care of that.

Well, not sure if that will take care of it, but... The battery cables were loose at the battery. I am, at this time, getting 14.2 to 14.5 volts with the engine running, and 12.81volts with the engine not running. The + side took less than 1 turn, but the - side took about 5 turns.I am going to test drive it tomorrow, after taking Charlie to school (not using van for school thing). Hopefully it will be back the way it has been so I can get to Phillips Hwy tomorrow.

Does this make sense? On a fully charged battery the transmission shifts perfect. The alternator shows voltage of 14.2 to 14.5 volts when van is running, but from the looks of it, the voltage is dropping down to where the transmission is not being controlled which causes the transmission to start acting up.That's the only thing I can see. I just went to Dollar General and the van ran perfect all the way there, BUT, on the way home the voltage meter did a considerable drop, before I got out...

Going to Sundance Pointe Apartments tomorrow. These apartments are right next door to where I worked before (Charter Landing). Not sure what the deal is with the laundry facilities job is. He was supposed to call me back and hasn't.

So, supposedly the Chevy Tahoe has an option for a 160amp alternator, from the factory. The highest I have seen, so far, if 140amp. I've seen one, modified by a company that does Emergency vehicles, that does 350amp ($769.99). This has got me to thinking. I've heard the AD244 alternator will direct drop-in to my van which has a CS-130D. The AD244 is supposedly much better than the CS-130D. From what I can gather, the alternators have the amp rating stamped on the case. There used to be a li...

Coming back home from my interview, the transmission started slipping again. Noticed the voltage gauge was reading very low.I believe my alternator is either on the way out, or is out.Do I have the job? I have to call around 4pm to find out. It looks good though.

Well it seems the supervisor for comcast that I am in contact with knows her stuff. Not only have I taken the online assessment, I have passed. I have to be there at 3:30pm Thursday, April 10th.I will say this, she is very persistent, but she got the job done.

God, Comcast must be full of idiots (with one exception, Skylar Yoachum). The other day I had an interview over the telephone. That led to me filling out an application, which led me to do an online assessment.First they told me they only had half my application. I went an did it again. Then they sent me the wrong online assessment. I was supposed to be doing the test for comtech, or whatever. They sent me the one for telephone support. Not just once, 3 times. I did the test 2 out of the 3...
