That rounded box is beautiful ! My box builder tried that on my last box, but only on the length, not on the sides like yours. That is a great idea for my next box, someday. Good luck for the build.

You are in good hands, here ! I'm still "new" to the active thing, after a year I had all the help I needed from the helpfull SSA members. The mini dsp is cheap, but I am so happy with mine. I did hide it in my glove box. And the 2V rca outputs are fine for me. I don't even know if it's 2v or 4v, or whatever volt it is.

I like those pods. They look nice, and you can aim them where you want. But I don't understand : was it a comparative test ? Were you using both tweeters ? One in the pod and one in the A pillar ? Sorry. I did not get it...

2500 for the tweeters : that seems ok. 1500 : that's low IMO. Good luck.

I would love to control my mini dsp with an app on my phone ! I don't need a processsor for the bass, but I would love to control the processor while driving ! The mini dsp is way cheaper !

If you can listen to those speakers before buying, do it, and come back to tell what you liked or ot. You'll need to use wood baffle (or rings) to install your speakers so they can express themselves correctly. I like the JBL brand a lot, but I can't tell you if you'll like them better than the other. You need to test them.

I used to see a lot of brazilian amps with problems, they were catching fire, or breaking fast. Nowadays it seems different : I can see alot of Taramps, SD, (no more Stetsom though)... Fi sells Banda on their own site ! What is going on ? Why are they suddenly so good ? They're cheap, powerful, and now reliable ? BTW : nice choice on subs. You'll love them.

Get some Xcons, and forget everything. You will never regret that purchase.

Honnestly, I think you need a better box, made for your trunk, and your car. The SSA ICON is a fantastic driver (I've owned Kicker L7, Icon, SSA Xcon, SSA Zcon, Fi btl N2, Pioneer subs,...etc). 2 would shine on a 2000 watts amp. A single 12" Icon or Xcon (more output) in a ported box should give you what you need on that same amp. Good luck.

Get 2 10s or 12s Xcon and have fun ! Sealed or ported, you'll love them. Icon or Xcon ? I've tried both, and loved both...but get the Xcon(s) for that 740.
