I'm thinking about using one of these babies for my next setup but im a little confused about the power ratings... in the two reviews here: http://www.zedaudiocorp.com/Products/leviathan.html the reviewers say it's rated 500w @ 4ohms 2 channels bridged and tested likewise here its says 600w: http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/store/products/ZED-Audio-Leviathan.html i would like to run my 2 sundown subs at 300/per but im not sure if i should go with 1 or 2 due to power ratings. edit: subs are the SD-1 v2's rated at 400w

Ok thanks I believe those specs are on the pdf manual as well.

wait 300 or 500? lol Just like I said. ZED rates the amp at 3 x 300 @ 4, but it will do 500+ watts. now im even more confused from the ssa store:

New ICON Site, still in design phase

looks very very nice. let it all out. -
i was on my way to meet my buddy for breakfast today, and stopped at a stoplight. I looked ahead and saw that they closed the right lane off (i was in the left). So this older 99-05 grand am pulls up next to me, and as the light turns green, the guy speeds off. no knowing that he wanted to pass me up and cut ahead of me, i had a normal start. when i see the guy speed ahead about 10 ft ahead of me, i floor it. this is like a good 1/8-1/4 mile strip of open road. I thought i was gonna catch up, but nope we stayed about the same distance away from each other. when i saw that i wasnt going anywhere i slowed down and he cut ahead. seeing that i have a 5.0 HO v8, vs the grand am's 3.4l v6 at most, i would think i would have some edge on it. could it be he had a head start, or my car weighs like 700lbs more than his? or could i have some kind of problem under the hood? i just replaced the plugs and the air filter like 1000 miles ago, and the only thing i didn't change was the wires and distributor. any thoughts?

Thoughts on the Pioneer DEH-P800PRS
flakko replied to nology's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
i woulda bought the 800, but it wasnt out yet -
well i have 3 subs in the line-up: 1. a sundown sd-1v2 (.95 cubic ft) 3-400w (d4) 2. a 12" oz 300L i have lying around (1.25 cubic ft) 400w (d6) 3. the new mag. (1 cubic ft) 5-800w (d2) now the oz is the best sounding sub ive ever heard (which is why i still have it ) its a toss-up between those 3 subs. i guess ill just run an md1d and see which one i like best lol. im leaning more towards the oz tho.

haha heck yea man. its fun doing that. stupid digitalness. never drove an viii before but to be honest l love the looks of the vii. its a mix of old american gangsta car and modern sports car. i dunno theres something about that vii.... as for the system, its pretty much done. got the speakers, got the sub, got most of the wiring, all i need is the amp and some battery terminals lol Oh, I completely agree about the Mark VII's. I love the looks of them. I wanted one for the longest time but I ended up with a 97 Towncar. I still love the TC but i wouldn't mind one of the Mark series Lincolns. Even better is the 66 Continental with the suicide doors! Just out of curiosity, what did you end up picking out for your front stage and sub? oh my front stage is alumapro alc 5.25 + seas neo metal tweets. for the sub, im still deciding. not sure...

dost thou have the 800prs?

i decided to give my car a wash. it was getting somewhat dirty. all clean! as you can see from the picture the clearcoat is on, but the paint faded underneath :icon_scratch:. eh well gonna take it to get painted. the dude that originally re-painted it, felt bad and said he would redo everything for 500.00, the price of supplies. not bad at all. im also going to see how much he would charge to buff out all the black paint on the trim to make it nice and shiny instead of repaint it. the trim is killing the look it should look very nice when im done with it. so list of things to do on the exterior: 1. Paint 2. clean the trim 3. Replace the dew wipes (paid for and waiting for shipment) 3. New headlights the good: ^^^ that little hump my FAVORITE part to wash. the bad: the ugly:

yea man, from the moment i saw this car in the online add, i fell in love with it. although the pictures in the add didnt really match what the car really looked like lol. to be honest tho, it didnt matter. the car was sexy. love the lines. as for the stock jbl, I have 4 more stock speakers on their way over to me im trying to get this stock system to sound as good as possible then ill probably screw around with goin after market everything else. wow. thats A LOT of deadening O_O i plan to add more however hehe. id rather have a slow, quiet comfortable ride than a fast loud bumpy one. as for the exhaust, i dont remember to tell you the truth i THINK the guy said it was from the headers. i gotta call him back to get my car re-painted anyways.

holy crap 9 bills. yea umm ill save that project for later waay later as i have to fix this up cosmetically AND rebuild the front control arms first. ths car is expensive! thanks for getting that info out chris, as well as everyones advice. i truly appreciate it.

hmmm not like car audio huh? lol werd. yea i think thats what im gonna do. also i think it will save me some money on gas in the long run. power in a bottle aint my thing. too "ricey" for me oh yea heads. mos def on my list of things to do, maybe. not much of a grease monkey so how much do you think it would cost to get them put it for labor?
