galacticmonkey replied to galacticmonkey's topic in For Sale/Wanted
Ok, Ill post the others when I get back home, but heres pics of the Lanzar. 0ga power/ground, with 8ga speaker terminals. Size compared to Massive Audio N4. The Lanzar isnt a small amp. -
FS: Lanzar Opti 700x2 - Pioneer 880PRS - Dayton HF 15

All this stuff is just sitting around, so i might as well just sell it. No point in it sitting here when I have no idea when Ill use it again, and somebody else could be using it. All prices include shipping East of Mississippi. If local, you can pick items up in New Port Richey, or in Tampa near USF area for some cash off. Lanzar 700x2 - $330 - Amp is like new. Mint condition. Huge, clean power, full range 2ch amplifier. Does 700x2 @ 4ohm and 950x2 @ 2ohm. Or bridge it for 1900@4ohm. I had 4 8ohm speakers per channel, and they were actually around 5.5ohm, and never had a problem, so it should do 1ohm per channel, although it isnt rated for it. Killer amp for some subs, or for some really loud highs. Pioneer 880PRS - $250 - Has some wear, but 100% functional. The volume knob is worn from use, and the RCAs have some wear and tear from when I soldered a ground to them, but the radio works 100%. Runs fully 3-way active and has a 16 band internal EQ. My favorite radio yet. Dayton HF 15 - $140 - Mint condition, might as well be new. Used lightly as a HT sub for a while. Its just too much for my bedroom. Way overkill. Its a single 4ohm sub, and would work equally well in a house or vehicle. I have pics of all items. If interested, send me a PM here or an email to [email protected]. -
...Yeah, this is still sitting in my garage. Really want to get rid of it.

Console was designed/built by Epicenter Designs. Holds 4 10" mids, 4 bullet tweeters, and an EQ. Couldnt find any pics of it with all the speakers installed, but I do have a few videos with everything in. Looks great and sounds great, everyone who has seen/heard it will vouch for that. Throw a few 10s and tweets in here and your highs will be screaming. Was great in my truck, but I just wanted my cupholders back, along with an arm rest and some storage area in my stock console. No screwing into any interior pieces to mount it, it just sits snug between the seats and up against the dash. Doesnt move at all when its in. Fits any Avalanche, Silverado, Tahoe, Yukon, etc. Might fit in other vehicles as well, but that would just be a dumb luck thing as it was designed specifically to fit the contours of GM 1500/2500/3500 trucks. Not sure what to ask, but I guess looking for around $300?

...It took all that to figure out that an IB sub isnt designed for a ported box? -
Horrible President, great idea.

I could care less if Scott forces 8 year olds to work overtime in a Vegas sweat shop to make the speakers... They are great. Built rock solid. Because of that, Ive had over 40 speakers from Fi/Ascendant and the number will only keep growing.

The Audiopipe 3ks are awesome amps! I guarantee that you will be blown away by it.

I had a 4th order blowthrough in my Avalanche with great results. I could design you one for a few bucks. Send me an email at [email protected] if youre interested.

Woo. Mine will be here next week.

Already posted on ca.com, but Ill just repost it here because its late and Im bored. And in case anyone is wondering, the van that you see in my avatar is sold, and this is my new daily ride. I have an Astro that Ill be starting another serious SPL build in eventually. This is just a smaller daily system. Equipment Pioneer 880PRS 2 Fi BTL 18s 2 MB Quart DSC2000s 1 MB Quart DSC4150 1 MB Quart DSC2150 2 sets Hertz HSK165 Some Eminence/Selenium 3 Powerware batteries KnuKonceptz wiring Damplifier Pro deadener Box 4.2 cubes sealed 17.5 cubes ported 410 in^ of port 47hz tuning I really hope this box doesnt sound like crap.

Did some playing around. Without my box brace in, it did a 143.3 legal @ 42hz with a MB Quart DSC2150 on a pair of BTLs. 300rms each didnt quite move the subs too much haha. Was still pretty loud though.
-
Pretty sure I found what Im getting. Will have enough money for it too, meeting up and selling my TL tomorrow. Hopefully will go get it Monday.

One thing about the wiring... Give Stinger a shot. I always used cheap stuff that I got for free for my wiring, and for my truck I decided to try Knu. The Kolossus Fleks is pretty nice. The speaker wire is ok, but super stiff. The RCAs... The wrap on them is huge, stiff, and they are a pain to work with when trying to run through your dash and under pannels and stuff. Then a buddy showed me his Stinger stuff. Its great. I always thought it was just some overpriced wire that people bought for the name, but looking back, its comparable in price to Kicker and Knu, but much better IMO. The HPM 1/0 is much more flexible than both the Kollossus Fleks and the Kicker wiring. The HPM speaker wire is flexible as a shoeloace, easily 5x as flexible as the Knu Kolossus Fleks speaker wire. The Stinger RCAs are great too. I bought a Stinger PRO series 4ch RCA and its flat. Its super flexible and they are FLAT. You can run them through anything. Much smaller than the KNUs. All in all, the comparable lines of Stinger are on a whole different level than the Knu and Kicker. If you have never tried any of the Stinger, give it a shot. It really is the best stuff out there.

I wish. The top flexes a good 2" with less than 1krms for the pair. It cracked the first metal brace we put in. But anyway, many changes to come. Truck will be getting alot louder.

To all the people who only run Sundown and absolutely nothing else, have you ever ran any other high end amplifiers? Sundown makes a good amp, but they are not the be-all-end-all amplifier. No amp is.
-
Why would it start an arguement?
-
Ran Sundown in my last 2 cars. Wanted to try something different. And as for the wattage per dollar, its hard to beat these Quart 2000s. Its $275 new, and the Sundown 2000 is like $500+. And its not like youre paying for a better amp, the Quart 2000 uses the same board as the Crunch GP3k. So it definitely has a strong base to make some great power, and that it does. It plays great, does nice power, and isnt fussy like my Sundown 3k was.
-
Started planning out the amprack today. Measured a ton of stuff and dont see it fitting and looking decent. Decided to try something different. Taking the window out, panneling it off, and building an amprack in the window. Amps will be on the window, along with hopefully some highs too. Hope it works like I want it to.
-
Ill definately consider it. Thanks for the tips and the PM back.

Theres a kid around here with a 6th order wall in a Geo Metro... He has a single 18 on 3krms. Thing gets down on music. Sounds pretty good actually.
-
Its a 4th order. So the subs are in a sealed chamber, but theres more to it than that. Even Scott said I should go 6th order, but Ive never done a 6th order before. I know 4th orders pretty well, so I stuck with what I knew. I couldnt be happier with the sound. With only 500rms on each sub it was still doing a 146 legal before bracing or tuning. So with the bracing and after I tune the amp I should be able to get a solid 147-147.5 with 500rms on each BTL. The sound is amazing though. The quality is something I didnt expect. Ive ran BTLs before and they always sounded good for an SPL sub, but in this box they honestly rival some SQ setups Ive heard. Super fast, right, responsive, and the tone is amazing. So rich and full. Like I said, I really couldnt be any happier. I started modding the port then ripped it all back out because I realized how good it sounded when I started messing with it.

Anyway, eventually redoing all my highs back to pro audio. My 2 Eminence Kappa 15s are for sale. Just too big for the space and would be a pain to work with. Both are brand new, looking for $100 each with grills. Bought a cheap Pioneer for temp until I can get my 880PRS fixed or scrap it and buy another one.
